Here ‘s an example daily schedule for our preschool classroom and Infant/Toddler nursery room :
Morning Routine
Arrival 9:00-10:00 / As children finish their hand-washing, they can play however they choose at our learning center until most children have arrived. Children are welcome to bring their breakfast, and as they finish their breakfast, they can play.
Morning Snack Time 10:00-10:30 / They will have a healthy snack like apples , carrots or cheese and crackers.
Outdoor Play Time 10:30-11:00 / It’s time to go outside! Children should be active for an hour every day, and getting outside to play is one way to be sure that happens.
Circle time 11:00-11:30 / The happy learning time starts when our day begins when we come together as a group circle to welcome each other and talk briefly about the day's planned events. We will also do things like read a book out loud or sing a song! Circle time encourages listening, talking, and sharing among the children and modeling opportunities for the teacher.
Lunch Time 11:30 -12:00 / Time to wash our hands, help set tables, and get ready to eat yummy lunch! Lunchtime is so fun ! Kids love exploring new flavors together with friends and teachers.
Afternoon Routine
Story Time 12:00-1:00 / We will read 100 of the BEST Books for Preschoolers before children take a nap. Books are a huge part of our lives, we absolutely LOVE them!
Nap Time 1:00-3:00 / It is a quiet time. Many children will nap, but as they wake up (or if they never quite get to sleep), they can select different quiet activities, such as looking at books or drawing.
PM Snack 3:00-3:30 / Children will have a nutrition snack like fruit and milk.
Afternoon outdoor Play 3:30 -4:30 / It’s time to go outside! Children might play on their own or participate in a group activity, such as dance time, bubble playtime ,and outdoor play structure.
Chinese Learning Circle Time 4:30-5:00 / After a busy day together, children are given to Mandarin lessons to explore and play in only Mandarin language. Children can build Mandarin conversational skills and listening comprehension.
5:00-6:00 Table activities / Pick- up time / It’s time for pick-up! During the pick up time, children are given the space and time to explore and play in the learning centers on their own. During the last hour of daycare, the teacher will provide small group activities for preschoolers. Small groups are an important part of a high-quality early childhood education.
